The Hotel Elysees Mermoz and Sylvain Sorgato are pleased to present to you from 1st July to 28th September 2016 a collection of works by Isabelle Ferreira specially created for this exhibition.
The opening will take place on Friday, July 1st from 7pm to 9pm. The work of Isabelle Ferreira is represented in Paris by the Florent Maubert gallery.

Responding to the invitation to present her work at the Hotel Elysees Mermoz, Isabelle Ferreira is doing us the favor of her most recent works.
Appreciated for a work aiming at the production of forms by the esthetic repetition of gestures without address; the artist verifies here the hypothesis according to which there is no connection between the sophistication of the committed means and the sensible intensity that they can provoke.
It is therefore a question of look: a faculty solicited here in the viewer with the effect that it finds there something of his ability to judge.
The resignation then, the renunciation of the talent, the bravery, and the small arrangements with the forms: Isabelle Ferreira decides a device, relies on the conditions of the medium which it constitutes, and likes to see it generate exactly as one would find some wonder at watching a bicycle wheel arranged for this purpose alone.
