Visit the Louvre Museum Paris

The Louvre Museum in Paris is only a 20-minute walk from the Hotel Elysées Mermoz. We suggest a stroll along the Champs-Elysées crossing the Place de la Concorde and then through the Jardin des Tuileries. This is a wonderful walk. Rest on a park bench and treat yourself to a crepe or ice cream from one of the many kiosks en route and you can make a stop to L'orangerie and see the Nympheas. You can get to the Louvre Museum by metro in less than 10 minutes. It's just at 3 metro stations from the Hôtel Elysées Mermoz. You take the underground on the Champs-Elysées to the metro station Franklin Roosvelt on the line 1 and stop to the station Musée du Louvre.

We recommend that you allow at least half a day for your visit to the Louvre Museum. The collections are outstanding and the place is truly magical. So that your visit doesn’t turn into a queuing nightmare, we thoroughly recommend booking your tickets online and travelling light without a bag, (to avoid queuing at the security check).

If you would like a professional tour guide, please contact Reception who will be more than happy to organise this for you.
