Fiac from 18th to 21st October 2018
Only 5 minutes on foot from the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the Champs-Elysées, the 4-star Elysées Mermoz Hotel invites you to explore hidden places and new things to do around it. FIAC is a not-to-be-missed event.
This year FIAC is celebrating 45 years, with nearly 200 famous galleries, both national and international. 2018's agenda is both qualitatively and quantitatively everything we could have hope for. These are 4 days where you won't be bored! What with exhibitions, performances, conferences, talks, films, show openings and other inaugurations, we strongly suggest you schedule your visits and meetings carefully.
Don't forget, FIAC is 45,000 visitors over 4 days and numerous activities over 7 different sites.
FIAC and the Grand Palais
The Grand Palais is still at the heart of the activity generated by the International Contemporary Art Fair (Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain, or FIAC in French) and we recommend you reserve your ticket in advance. Take your time looking at the works available and enjoy the magnificent nave, before the work planned for 2021. The Grand Palais will be completely renovated from 2021 to 2023.
Fiac Project
The FIAC Project is an artistic journey between the Grand and Petit Palais, with the pedestrianisation of the Avenue Winston Churchill. Sculptures, video projections on the wall of the Grand Palais and other installations make it worth the trip. A successful nod to the promenade of the 1900 international exhibition.
Fiac Hors les murs
FIAC Hors les Murs invites you to explore contemporary art in outside spaces, placed in emblematic areas of Paris.
Among the sites taking part in "Hors les murs" are the following places and buildings:
- Around the Louvre and Jardin des Tuileries
- Place de la Concorde
- Eugène de Lacroix Museum
- Place Vendôme
FIAC Hôtel Elysées Mermoz **** In Situ
Since 2009 the Elysées Mermoz Hotel has been sharing its passion for contemporary art with its guests and friends via a sustained programme of artistic events.
As part of this artistic sponsorship, the Elysées Mermoz Hotel is holding an exhibition called "Sans Clous ni Vis" during the FIAC. "Sans Clous ni Vis", a very labour intensive exhibition, is taking place from 11th October 2018 to mid-January 2019.
This year, after several years of collaboration, the Elysées Mermoz Hotel has become "FIAC's Partner Hotel". It's easy to book a room during the FIAC, you can do so directly on our website, or telephone +33 (0)1 42 25 75 30, or you can do it via FIAC's official site.
