Would you care for a Catalan dinner for a change? No need to leave Paris as the restaurant L’Aspartinette in the rue Condorcet offers a unique opportunity to dip into regional specialities either for lunch or brunch on Sundays and to taste organic fare according to the slow food philosophy.

Wander through the tempting delicatessen and wine-stacked shelves and head towards the welcoming bar area at the back. Take full advantage of the warm atmosphere emanating from the chitchat of the regulars propping up the bar. Beatrice the hostess, herself from a wine-producing family, is very familiar with this way of life reigning over every detail including choice of suppliers with her infectious joie de vivre and her impeccable taste.

Only pure, organic ingredients are served here and the set Tapas menu in the evening is a real delight. Taste the best of hams the ‘iberico’ bellota bio, Casa Bordas anchovies or indulge in slightly more elaborate dishes such as Galician squid in its own ink sauce.

The concierge of Art Ensuite particularly recommends the black pudding and a ewe’s milk cheese accompanied by fig relish.

A destination bistro that celebrates the art of taking time out.
